1) LUKE FREES – If There Ain’t A Heaven
Luke Frees is a singer-songwriter living in Chicago, Illinois, who is currently releasing one single (and a B-side!) per month as part of his ongoing music career.
He makes music that captures your attention and sticks in your memory. His latest single is a good example of this effect.
As the title suggests, If There Ain’t A Heaven is about the blissful feeling of being so completely in love. It is about being wrapped up with someone with whom you feel as if you can take on the world together.
The peak of the mountain, when everyone seems to be on their game, is a time after you’ve gotten to know someone, but before love gets stale. This is when anything and everything seems possible.
As you can see his music is not only sound but also a piece of poetic art. Luke Frees is absolutely the David Bowie of the digital age. Check it out. Visit his website and follow him on Spotify.
2) LJUG ALDRIG – Seashells (ft. Elliphant)
LJUG ALDRIG is a singer-songwriter from Stockholm, Sweden. Their music is based on the Nordic culture and tends to be acoustic, relaxing, and folk-pop.
Their single Seashells (ft. Elliphant) is a beautiful and cinematic track that features Ljung Aldrig’s soft, rich vocals over a soft rock beat with a hint of folk-pop.
Seashells were written in 2007. It is a statement of a young person explaining the need for creation, which seems to be stronger than duality. People are attracted to the beautiful, according to one party. But leaves the ugly behind. However, paradoxically, they met precisely for those reasons.
It’s one of the best songs I’ve heard in a good while. I love it. The production is great, and the mixing is outstanding. Every instrument exists in the song combined with the vocals, and none of them gets on top of each other, you can smoothly hear them all. It’s an amazing song!

3) JOSHUA KETCHMARK – Death Trap
Joshua Ketchmark is an acoustic singer-songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee who has been making waves in the indie music scene with his unique sound.
His latest single, “Death Trap,” is a perfect example of what makes him so special: it’s a song that sounds like it could have been written decades ago but still feels fresh today. It’s easy listening at its finest–you’ll be able to listen to this song over and over again without getting tired of it!
Joshua Ketchmark’s third single ‘Death Trap’ comes from his 10th studio album ‘BLOOD’
There’s so much to learn from ‘Death Trap’. The chorus exclaims, “Give it all you’ve got, try and take me apart.” It’s a song about overcoming obstacles, following your dreams and never giving up.
The song itself is very easy to listen to, with its acoustic sound and classic sound. The vocals are smooth and soothing, which makes this song perfect for listening to when you want to relax or fall asleep.
Like all of the other songs on ‘BLOOD’, this song was written by Ketchmark based on his own experiences growing up in the mid-west, two and a half hours south of Chicago, Illinois.
I highly recommend checking out this artist if you’re looking for something new! You can find him on Spotify or visit his website!
4) MICHAEL PELOSO – Rewind (feat. Marisa Frantz & Matthew Shell)
I came across the single “Rewind (feat. Marisa Frantz & Matthew Shell)” by MICHAEL PELOSO, an independent artist from Rutherford, New Jersey. The song is a dreamy and relaxing acoustic pop tune, with a jazzy undertone and a catchy chorus that keeps you humming along.
In discussing the song, Michael Peloso said: ”I wrote this song after watching the school shooting in Texas. I was longing for a better time in the past & wrote this to bring comfort to those who long for better days. As a songwriter from NJ, I believe that if music can help someone forget about their problems, then it’s done its job. Being a Stage 4 cancer survivor, I know all about dealing with tough times. Thank you for your consideration.”
The song itself has great quality. the production is outstanding and everything is blended in very well. I can see this was thought off and there was time put into the work of this single. Michael did a great job on this one!
The song is so catchy that you’ll want to listen again and again, which means you should go check out their website and follow them on Spotify to keep up with what they’re doing next!
5) SAMANTHA KNIGHT – Dreaming
Samantha Knight is an alternative folk singer-songwriter from Peekskill, New York. Her music is reminiscent of classic folk and pop, with a modern twist.
After writing songs under the radar for three years, Samantha Knight started releasing music. Over the years, Samantha has written approximately 50+ songs, and she is eager to show the world her talent and creativity.
Written in February of 2020, “Dreaming” is about a new romantic partner who feels like they might only be dreamt about. By building up the soft start through the rush of strings, the song has a similar effect to falling in love slowly.
The song holds great significance for the artist; it was written, composed, and owned by her, and, shows off Knight’s vocal range and ability to sing both soft and powerful notes. It also showcases her knack for writing catchy hooks, which makes this song perfect for radio play or use in commercials.
I highly recommend listening to more of Samantha Knight’s music if you like this track!

6) NINNI – For The Last Time
NINNI is an independent artist from Italy, Napoles. He is a singer-songwriter and folk musician with a classic sound. His single “For The Last Time” is super catchy, super edgy and super relaxing at the same time. It has a classic sound that will make you think about Europe-based culture and its artsy vibe.
The song is acoustic folk with a pop twist, and it has a classic sound that is clearly influenced by European culture. It’s catchy and edgy at the same time–perfect for listening to when you’re driving around town or walking through the park on a sunny day.
He wrote this song as a tribute to our loved ones who have passed away and are no longer with us. “Sometimes the fear of losing someone literally drives us mad because we are completely helpless in front of the fate that comes our way. However, everything in life must be faced, even the deepest pain, which makes us human and which if explored, understood, and lived, can help you bring to light the value of this experience, discovering a resilient capacity that can make us stronger”.
Overall, I think this single is great because it has everything you’d want from an artist: catchy melodies, relatable lyrics, and soulful vocals
