Amana Melome' Assembles RECALIBRATED From House, Disco and Dub Reworkings of RECALIBRATION
Eight Producers Rework Her 2026 Album, From a Deep House Opener to a Jazz Centrepiece
RECALIBRATED is the remix album Amana Melome’ built from parts that already existed. She released Recalibration in February 2026 and then handed its songs to eight producers. The result is an eleven-track remix album, out since 25 September 2026. Its running order moves from deep house and disco through dub reggae to a jazz arrangement at its centre.
Amana Melome’ is in the playlist below with the Deron Johnson and Principini version of SPACE AGE MAMA JAMA RECALIBRATED. Her coverage across our desks sits on her artist profile. RECALIBRATED reached this desk through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news sites. Hit play, then read on.

Amana Melome’ Opens RECALIBRATED With a Deep House SO DONE From Cee ElAssaad and Joel Holmes
The album wastes no time on scene-setting. A sixteen-second opener, Let’s Glow, hands straight over to SO DONE, reworked by Cee ElAssaad and Joel Holmes. At six minutes and twenty-four seconds, it is one of the longest builds on the record. It gives the song a steady deep house pulse.
That choice of opener is deliberate. SO DONE came from the Recalibration album, but it never came out as a single. That means the remix album opens on a song most listeners have not met on its own. In its review, No Transmission wrote that the pulse makes the song “something more communal and physical”.
The rest of the first half keeps the dance floor in view. Somos Animales, from Argentina, take CON C.ALMA into dub reggae. Meanwhile Opolopo, the Swedish producer, pushes the title track RECALIBRATION towards funk and disco over six minutes and twenty-seven seconds. Eli Anai offers a second reading of CON C.ALMA, and Godblesscomputers brings a jazz-house mix of RECALIBRATION.

What the Songs Say Once the Remixes Move Them From Reflection to the Dance Floor
Recalibration was an album about processing and introspection. RECALIBRATED keeps the same songs but changes what they do. Melome’ describes the remix album as a celebration of one’s own fire and magic. In her telling, it arrives once the inward work of the first record is complete, so the music can face outwards.
The lyric content does not change, only its setting. A line about letting go reads differently over a four-on-the-floor kick than it did in the original arrangement. As Ignite Music Mag noted in October, the record places those songs in new musical settings. Those settings run from soulful house and disco to dub reggae and jazz-influenced club music.
Her voice is the constant that holds this together. Whether the setting is a dub bassline or a piano arrangement, the delivery stays strong, sultry and playful. So eight producers can pull the songs in eight directions, and the album still sounds like one artist.
There is also a family thread in the material. Melome’ is the granddaughter of Jimmy Woode, the bassist in Duke Ellington’s orchestra. Her catalogue has long mixed jazz, neo-soul and world music. The remixes push that mix towards the club without losing the jazz underneath it.

The Sequence, From a Sixteen-Second Opener to a Jazz Centrepiece and a One-Minute Close
The structure is where the album shows its craft. Three songs carry most of the weight: RECALIBRATION appears three times, CON C.ALMA twice and SPACE AGE MAMA JAMA twice. As a result, the record also works as a study in how far one song can travel. Saverio ‘SAGE’ Principini remixes RECALIBRATION at track seven. Then a short RECALIBRATED (Interlude) at track eight resets the listener before the centrepiece.
Track nine is that centrepiece, SPACE AGE MAMA JAMA RECALIBRATED. It is a new version of the first song Melome’ ever recorded for an album, revisited four albums later. The credit goes to the pianist Deron Johnson, who has toured with Miles Davis and Alanis Morissette, and to Principini. Johnson’s arrangement turns it towards straight jazz. Track ten then gives the same song a second Principini remix. The jazz version and its club version sit side by side.
Finally, the album closes on 11:11, a one-minute track featuring Sky. The cover art follows the same logic as the sequence: the same photograph as Recalibration, carrying a completely different energy.
TopMusic.News’s curator team: “RECALIBRATED earns its place through its running order. Deron Johnson’s jazz arrangement sits next to its own club remix at the centre of the album. That lets you hear the same song built two ways in about eleven minutes.”
