Let me start this article with a question. Are you looking for some indie pop music that can refresh your boring playlist? Do you want to cool your hot mind and refresh your soul? Well, you have come to the right place.
You can’t help but think about the mid-summer months when the weather is warm, birds are singing and your social media feed is filled with beach photos.
You have to admit it, sometimes it’s hard to find the motivation to go to work. We compare our lives in this time of year to those summer holiday snaps and when we don’t get a well-deserved holiday, we end up working more.
This kind of indie music is perfect for those times when you need some uplifting tunes and you want an injection of positivity before starting a new project at work or beginning your day.
Well, this collection of indie pop music will refresh your mind and refresh your summer playlist.
It’s perfect for those days when you need some motivation and heading into work doesn’t feel like an option. This mix includes artists from Australia to London with an electro/indie feel that you’re going to love this summer!
One way to break out of the monotony is to find something new and interesting, preferably in music form. Sure, you could play Spotify’s celebrities or whatever streaming service the kids are using these days, but if it’s the variety you’re after then there are a few other options out there.
You can listen to our full playlist which contains the artists’ music, and know more about the artists by scrolling down the page.

“Just What Is” is a song that will resonate with anyone who has ever felt like they just can’t quite put their finger on what they’re looking for. It’s dreamy and ethereal but also grounded in reality.
The lyrics are simple but powerful and sung by a man with a voice that’s equal parts soothing and soulful; When he sings, it sounds like he could send you into a super relaxed coma-like.
The guitar work on this track is gorgeous: it’s got an ’80s soft rock sound without being too cheesy or over-the-top (though if anything, it could be even more dreamy), and the whole thing has an almost oceanic quality to it. You’ll be transported away from everything except the music in an instant.

8) ALEXIA REV – Body
ALEXIA REV‘s new single, Body, is just what you need to get your life back on track. It’s an anthem that will make you feel like a dancer in no time.
Alexia is an independent artist based in LA who specializes in electronic pop with alternative and commercial elements. Her sound is full of 80s vibes, with a female vocalist singing over anthemic vocals and retro guitar style. Her music has been described as “nostalgic”, and that’s something very positive right now that old-school music is super in.
The song Body was inspired by Alexia’s experiences coming out. It’s about feeling free and confident in your own skin. The lyrics are uplifting: “I can feel my body” which makes it perfect for listening to when you’re feeling down or exhausted from work or school.
Rev’s work is also about overcoming mental health problems and depression, and PTSD, and paints a picture of going out and catching a vibe with a stranger. It plays with the idea of wanting a connection only for a night while being in a time in your life where your main focus is yourself.
The track was co-written by Los Angeles-based artist Alexia Rev and Seattle-based artist Samara Lennoxx, and produced by Samara Lennoxx and Jaymes Crux. I think the track Nerd would be great for commercial use: it has a catchy chorus and an upbeat vibe that would really sell products. It’s also got the potential for being used in TV or film projects that want to evoke nostalgia or a sense of adventure.
