JOYFIRE's Twilight Single Ends a Year Away, Setting Christine Elise's Vocal Over Big Room Bass
A Former Pianist and Live Keytar Player Writes the Melody, and a Guest Sings It
JOYFIRE builds his tracks on a balance he describes plainly: the booming bass and kick of Big Room techno underneath melodies simple enough to sing, moving between major and minor keys. JOYFIRE’s Twilight single arrived on 2 October 2026 with Christine Elise on the vocal, and it is his first release in more than a year.
You will hear JOYFIRE’s Twilight in the EDM, Dance, House, Dubstep, Techno playlist below, and his coverage from across the network is collected on his artist profile. The single reached TopMusic.News through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news desks. Hit play, then read on for how it was made.

Paul Armento records as JOYFIRE, a DJ and producer with a background in pop, rock, classical and jazz. His sets move across Mainstage EDM, Big Room, Future Rave and Progressive House, with excursions into Hardstyle and Future Bass. He has released more than 35 tracks, and several have charted abroad. For example, Falling reached number 20 on Apple’s dance chart in Indonesia, while Du Hast reached number 24 in Finland.
Christine Elise Sings the Words JOYFIRE Wrote, Over a Big Room Structure Built Around Melody
Big Room is a mainstage style, and its tracks usually turn on the build and the drop. Tension climbs, and then the kick and bass return at full weight. JOYFIRE says he now leans into those big drops, after early tracks that he felt were too musical. Because the genre keeps its melodies and harmonies simple, the musician in him has had to learn restraint.
On Twilight, that melody has a voice. Christine Elise is the featured artist, credited with the vocal, while the words and the music are credited to Paul Gregory Armento, JOYFIRE’s own name. So the song pairs a writer who thinks in melodies with a singer who carries them.

Alesso and Nicky Romero Show Where a Featured Vocal Fits in Big Room
That pairing has a long history in mainstage dance music. Alesso named a whole tour after Heroes (We Could Be), his 2014 single with Tove Lo, which set a featured vocal over a melodic mainstage track. Nicky Romero did something similar that year with Feet on the Ground, sung by the Dutch singer Anouk. Earlier, Romero had topped the UK Singles Chart with I Could Be the One, made with Avicii.
Twilight works on an independent scale, yet it follows the same idea. A producer writes the melody, a guest carries it, and the weight of a Big Room drop sits underneath.

JOYFIRE’s Twilight Single Waited a Year Before Release, Long Enough for a Final Polish on the Mix
The track was finished long before it came out. In the note under the video, JOYFIRE explains that Twilight sat waiting all year while he dealt with one wave of life after another. In that time, it also got a final polish. The video then went up on 23 September 2026, nine days before the single reached streaming services.
That patience fits the way he works. He says the style arrived almost by accident: by keeping his own ears happy, he ended up with a sound of his own.
That background explains the approach. JOYFIRE was a pianist and a musician before dance music took over, and his catalogue shows it. In December 2023, for instance, he released a three-part Nut Rocker Suite, a nod to Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker.
Where to Hear JOYFIRE’s Twilight Single, From Spotify to His Live Keytar Sets
Twilight is out on all the main streaming services, and Apple Music also lists a radio edit. The single is aimed at the playlists JOYFIRE has always worked for: mainstage EDM, electro house and melodic Big Room.
It also belongs to a live show. On stage, JOYFIRE plays keytar solos over his sets, and his YouTube channel carries clips of them, including a takeover set from March 2026. A five-year anniversary set sits there too, which shows how long the project has been running. Meanwhile, Insomniac Radio has played his music, and his tracks have appeared on playlists run by Revealed Recordings and Hexagon Records.
For a first listen, play Twilight loud enough to feel the kick. Then follow Christine Elise’s melody through the drop.
TopMusic.News’s curator team:
“Big Room usually asks the melody to step aside for the drop. JOYFIRE’s habit, learned at the piano, is to keep it in the room, and with Christine Elise singing that line, Twilight has a hook that survives the low end.”
