The Distance (between Before And After) by SOBERTRAP is a cinematic, instrumental piece of music that is both relaxing and energizing. It’s easy to listen to, but it can also be played as a soundtrack for your next big project.
The sound is based on Nordic culture and classical music, which makes it nostalgic, yet modern at the same time. The track is also uplifting and optimistic, much like the artist’s home country of Sweden.
The song starts with a soft piano melody that builds into an upbeat rhythm, even without drums and electric guitars, it is infectious. There are also moments where the music slows down again to give you a moment to breathe before diving back into another verse with a lot of energy. Some would say it’s euphoric, others relaxing, but it evokes good emotions anyway.

9) FANG SU – Drowning Within Darkness
FANG SU is a lo-fi hip-hop beats artist from Bowling Green, Ohio. He has released a new EP called Drowning Within Darkness.
In this 4-track EP, FANG SU experiments with ambient, lo-fi hip-hop beat in an avant-garde manner. The result is an experimental general album that’s both relaxing and cinematic.
The first track, “The Coming” begins with a slow build of synths and deep bass before the beat drops in. The whole song is composed of this buildup—slowly building up to the drop, then dropping into a relaxed groove where you can just zone out and chill out.
This track is followed by two instrumental tracks: “Somber” and “God save Us”. Both songs have more of an electronic sound, with synth pads and glitchy drum beats backing up more traditional hip-hop beats. This makes them both perfect for background music if productions are directed to evoke suspense and mystery.
The final track on this EP is called “To Those Who Have Passed On”. This one has more of an ambient vibe to it—you can really feel yourself relaxing as you listen to it, but it’s extremely dark, so be prepared. Now check it out, visit his Twitter and follow him on Spotify.
