Music is an incredibly powerful medium, with the ability to influence the listener in deep and profound ways.
It is no wonder that the music industry has seen such explosive growth over the last few decades. However, not all of this growth has been beneficial – populistic music (often referred to as commercial or Top 40) has flooded the radio waves, leaving little room for independent artists.
Things are changing, as you will soon discover, we live in a truly unique time period where these same independent artists are being embraced by listeners who want more than just big commercial music productions.
Here we present some fresh and miscellaneous Indie and EDM Pop tracks you should listen to in your free time. Music is an awesome resource that can improve your mood, motivate you, and just add some extra points of energy to the way you live your day, so give it a try.
If you’re one of those people who like finding new artists, is eclectic, enjoy from Latin to folk, pop, electronica and rock, mix everything while listening to new music; or even if you just want to relax using only tunes – this list will surely be for you.
You can listen to each artist individually and also follow our playlist on Spotify.

1) HANNA SÖDERBERG – Gravity
Oh, what a selection of songs! We are very international today.
There are so many things we love about each of these tracks, but the most important thing is that they’re all independent artists. We think it’s so important to support artists who are doing their own thing, and we’re thrilled that you can find this kind of music through PopHits.Co.
The first song is called Gravity by Hanna Söderberg, and it’s a politically charged EDM track with 80s vibes. We love how she uses her voice as an instrument in addition to singing, giving it an ethereal quality that really shines through in this song.
It’s perfect for dancing around your living room or working out at the gym—just put it on repeat and get ready to burn some calories!
Listen to her songs and follow the artist on Spotify to show your support.

2) SATICÖY – Crack A Smile
If you look up “catchy” in the dictionary, a picture of the song Crack A Smile by SATICÖY will be there. The song is an indie-pop or we can say alternative pop hit with a catchy vocal performance and a danceable beat.
It’s got enough commercial appeal to break out on radio stations across the country, but it’s also got enough edge to keep it from being too mainstream.
I can feel there’s a chance that this song could be the band’s first big hit on the international scene, despite the fact that they’ve only been around a short time. This was released last month and I am sure it’s gonna go past a million streams on Spotify within the next few months
They have another song on that platform that has 1 million streams, so for these boys, it won’t be a very difficult task to achieve that. Now please follow the boys on Spotify and show your love!

3) JACQUELINE LOOR – Malos
The new song Malos by Jacqueline Loor is a Latin pop beat with a chillout sound and female vocals.
If you’re looking for something upbeat to get you through the week, this is the perfect song for you. Remember, it’s Latin pop with a chillout vibe that will give your dance moves that extra edge they need when it comes time to show them off at the club!
If you speak Spanish, the lyrics are catchy and easy to memorize, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself singing along—even if you don’t know Spanish!
Plus, it’s from Miami, USA (and just released last week), but there’s no waiting around for international shipping or customs fees. Just put it on repeat and let the beats flow right into your ears!
Dance, enjoy the music and follow the artist on Spotify.

4) AMIRA – Medusa
Recently, I was looking for a band with a very particular style: dark-pop music with catchy choruses and beautiful lyrics.
After listening to a lot of songs and finding some interesting ones, I decided to include in our playlist only the best ones.
This playlist features an independent artist called AMIRA. The song’s name is Medusa and it has been released two months ago by Tell Your Dad to Stop Calling Me Records. This track is called either “Medusa” or “Dark Horse”. It was written by AMIRA herself and produced by Christopher C Ray Roberts.
This song is so catchy! You’ll find yourself singing along after only one listen! The lyrics are also very inspiring: they talk about overcoming your fears and becoming stronger as a person! It’s perfect if you want to feel empowered!
It was a play based on power & control as well as fear of intimacy and self-sabotage in relationships. Medusa is a play that touches on those themes.
Please listen and follow the artist on Spotify.

5) NASMORE – Safe In My Dreams (feat. Dana Miuccia, Neil Taylor)
If you’re into the sound of a young, indie-pop duo with a cinematic twist, then you should check out NASMORE. The song Safe In My Dreams is an incredible example of their talent, featuring Dana Miuccia and Neil Taylor.
The track is a perfect example of what we consider contemporary pop—it has a dark-pop undertone but still maintains a pop feel. It’s also an example of how well these artists can work together: their skills complement each other in a way that makes it hard to imagine one without the other.
We love this track because it shows off what makes NASMORE stand out: they’re Canadian based, they have an affinity for cinematic music and they’re unafraid to experiment with new sounds and styles. If you’re looking for something new to add to your playlist, give this one a shot!
Listen to their songs and follow the artist on Spotify.

6) JULIANDER – Cold Shoulder
If you’re looking for radio-ready pop hit music to add to your playlist, look no further than Juliander. The artist has a variety of songs that are perfect for any occasion and will be sure to keep you dancing all night long.
The song I would recommend is called “Cold Shoulder”. It has a dreamy pop sound with electronic elements and sounds like it could have come straight out of the 1980s. It’s super catchy, but also kind of sad in a way—it makes me want to curl up next to someone and watch a movie on Netflix.
Juliaander is a Swedish musician, songwriter and music producer. In addition to strong vocals coupled with personal lyrics and beautiful melodies, he can tell a story that will take you into his world
He has another song called Afterglow that is a hit for sure, with 25 million plays on Spotify. This guy is a proper star, shining bright like a diamond. Go Juliander!
Don’t lose the opportunity to check his Spotify profile and follow him. Support his great talent!

7) CHRIS CAULFIELD – Feelings (Remix)
So you’re ready to get back in the gym, but you just can’t seem to find a good workout playlist. We’ve got the perfect solution for you!
We’ve just discovered an independent artist named Chris Caulfield who is releasing his new single, Feelings (Remix), and it’s going to be your new anthem.
The song has all the right elements of EDM House, Pop and Work Out music rolled into one: male vocals, anthemic lyrics, and lots of energy. It will have you sweating and jamming out at the gym before you know it.
The artist is also Canadian-based which makes us love it, even more, we love to find independent artists having their songs reach an international audience!
Overall, this is a great song for anyone looking for something upbeat and fun to listen to while working out, for a party or going through their morning routine. Include Chris Caulfield on your playlist and follow him on Spotify.

8) RINGO HARRISON – 8
To be honest, we don’t know a lot about RINGO HARRISON.
But we do know that he’s an independent artist from the United States and that his song 8 is a little bit of a left-field mashup of genres: leftfield trap beats with lo-fi hip hop instrumentals, electronic experimental beats, and quirky soundtrack style.
It’s got a really unique sound to it—we’re not sure what else to say! It’s weird but we like it in some way. Open your mind. Besides the song’s title being 8, we noticed it also got the number 8 spot in this article, and when we checked our playlist, it was ranked 8. I think it’s synchronized somehow. But don’t laugh, we’re not joking.
You must listen to it with good earphones and enjoy the beat, especially the bass line, it’s good for workouts too. You must try!
Ringo mentioned that he produced it in his living room by himself, and his dog was there to help him, as he got really high before starting this production process. For him, it’s not about creating something commercial, but just appreciating music and enjoying the vibe.
I know, it’s unusual, but if you like it, check out his other stuff on Spotify.

9) LOVETA – More Than Fun
It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this way about an artist.
LOVETA is an independent artist with a sound that’s like nothing else out there. Her latest single, More Than Fun, has a nostalgic feel to it that makes me want to dance around the house in my underwear (I know, I know… but when you hear this song, you’ll understand). Do you know Happy by Pharrell Williams? It’s all about that effect.
It’s got a touch of commercial appeal, and I love how she switches between singing with a soft intonation and high notes, making it appears like is something very easy (for her)—it really helps make the song stand out from others in its genre, the perfect vocals.
For me personally, this song reminds me of growing up—that feeling of being young and carefree, where all you want to do is dance around and have fun with your friends.
That’s why I love it so much: it takes me back to those days when life was just so simple and easy! If you’re looking for something new to add to your playlist or just want some good old-fashioned nostalgia, check out and follow her on Spotify.

10) UNA JENSEN – Crooked Tooth Featuring Boy Jr.
UNA JENSEN is an indie-pop singer from Los Angeles, USA. Her music is a mix of electronic, hyper pop, with childish feminine vocals. Her debut single “Crooked Tooth” was produced by Boy Jr., and has since been featured on the TV show “Stranger Things”.
UNA JENSEN’s music can be described as quirky, edgy and super catchy. She sings about things like being a woman in today’s society, but in her own way — she doesn’t follow trends or try to fit in with what everyone else is doing. She also loves to make fun of herself through her lyrics.
A Hyperpop wonder, Crooked Tooth feat. Boy, Jr. It is written and produced by Una Jensen, combining down and dirty bass, twinkling chimes, and her sugary-sweet raps.
Her sound is very unique – it has elements of hip hop mixed with pop music which gives it an urban feel while still being light and airy at the same time. If you’re looking for something new and different then definitely give UNA JENSEN a listen! Follow her on Spotify.
