An astrophysicist by profession, Conner Eko is a singer-songwriter in the Bay Area, California who is a banger maker in indie pop and EDM music.

He has been away from music for years but has previously participated in projects as a singer-songwriter (such as Falling Andes). During this time away, he taught high school science and began studying astrophysics for a PhD.

The idea that life exists elsewhere in the universe intrigues him, so he studies planets around other stars. While he enjoys his scientific pursuits, the hiatus from music/songwriting deeply affected him and exacerbated his lifelong depression.

After an unfortunate accident gave Eko a traumatic brain injury in March 2021, he developed the post-concussion syndrome, as well as depression and other health problems. Eko deserves your complete attention and support for this reason and also because he’s a great artist.

As a result of taking a leave of absence from his PhD and other activities, he found solace and healing in music. Eko started crafting new songs and releasing music after he realized that writing and playing music wouldn’t cause concussion symptoms.

In his future releases, Eko plans to mix indie synth pop and retro indie singer-songwriter with cosmic themes and stories.
