EDM: New Electronic Music Releases You Should Listen to This Month

Will Lisil 7 February 2023

Electronic Dance Music has been around for decades and while it was initially unpopular, it is more popular than ever in the present day. This new electronic music trend will only continue to grow with more people transitioning from mainstream music to the high-energy rave aesthetic. In this article, I will be discussing some of my favourite tracks released recently by independent artists that you should be listening to!

The electronic music genre is one that is constantly evolving, and it can be hard to keep up with all of the new releases. Fortunately, we have rounded up some of the top new releases from independent artists in the EDM genre to help you keep up with them.

These days, EDM has gone beyond club DJs and festivals like Ultra Music Festival in Miami. It’s also a popular genre for listeners who want something different from what they hear on the radio. With so many new songs coming out every week, it can be hard to find the best ones to add to your playlist.

Vidorra releasing 'Green For Go'.
'Green For Go' is themed around creative freedom. As a tribute to those who have come before, it draws inspiration from artists like M.I.A, Travis Scott, and the Swedish House Mafia. Furthermore, showcasing the artistry of South-Asian musicians.

1) PETER SPACEY – Digital Owl Warehouse Live Session

Peter Spacey is a beatmaker and DJ, and producer. ”Digital Owl Warehouse Live Session” shows Peter working out of an industrial warehouse in the Negev desert of Israel. The track “Digital Owl” is a live performance by Peter Spacey.

In the song, you can hear the artist’s signature sound: a combination of EDM and glitch. It’s a little bit disco and a little bit industrial—but it’s all perfect.

If you’re looking for something new to listen to while working out or dancing around your room like no one’s watching, then this song is for you! It will give your workout that extra boost or help you get through a boring day at work.

It’s time for our listeners to check out this awesome song! Visit the artist’s website and follow him on Spotify today!

2) HORIZONTE LIED – Destello Inmortal [Remastered Edition]

Horizon Lied is a band from Mexico, and they have been making music together for a long time. They just released a new song, Destello Inmortal, that I think you’re going to love.

A new release from Horizon Lied, the vibrant/stylized dark synth-pop track “Immortal Flash” is the band’s 7th release from their ambitious project “Final Remasters”, an updated, remixed, and remastered version of their original debut single.

“Destello Inmortal” is a story about love, and how it can find our way into our lives in the most unexpected moments, leaving behind a state of confusion that is tinged with an excitement that is sometimes beautiful and at other times disturbing.

One of the things I love most about this group is that their sound is so unique—there’s not much else out there quite like it! I think that if you’re looking for something new and different in your music rotation, Horizon Lied will be perfect for you!

if you’re looking for a taste of the Latin music scene there, then this is the band for you. You can check out their website, and follow them on Spotify.

3) ARXION – Essence

A new wave of dance music is coming from Slovenia, a small country in Europe. ARXION has released his album called Essence which has 12 tracks. His brand of alternative pop music mixes catchy hooks with cool melodies and good vibes that will leave you feeling amazing.

In his own words, he describes his style as “bright love pop”. A positive love relationship is the only theme of the album. As part of the music, we have a mix of 80’s pop/rock and 90’s R&B/dance that is energetic, melodic, and uplifting.

A rock album that continues the spirit of 80’s rock, with a strong sense of commercial and pop. The vocals are excellent, ranging from art-pop to dance-rock vibes. This is an artist that should be on your playlist as soon as possible!

My favourite track from this album is ”Just So You Know”. It’s got everything, it’s upbeat and catchy and it carries an amazing vibe with it, you should pay attention to this one specifically because it’s so good!

If you are into 80s rock or pop, check out this new album by ARXION. You can check it out on Spotify or visit his official website!

4) LOUDAR – Little Susie

If you’re looking for a new EDM track to add to your workout playlist, check out Little Susie by LOUDAR. The song is a perfect example of the kind of music that’s currently dominating the ”gym-heads” in Europe—it’s catchy and energetic, but it also has an emotional core that will keep you coming back for more.

It’s a perfect song for working out because it’s got an upbeat tempo and great female vocals that will keep you moving through every rep. The drop hits you like a punch, so no energetic drink will be needed if you have some headphones and this song is on maximum volume!

The melancholic vibe Loudar is bringing you is going to make you want to dance into the moment and forget about your worries. I consider this to be a masterpiece of atmospheric hardstyle music.

But if you like to dance, and throw parties this song is also great for that. It’s got plenty of energy and rhythm and that is all you need for a good dance session!

And this is just one album! LOUDAR has plenty more where that came from—check out his website and Spotify page for more info on his work!

5) VIDORRA – Green For Go

VIDORRA is an independent artist from Stafford, United Kingdom. His latest album is Green For Go, and it’s a masterpiece.

In response to a series of releases that showcase Vidorra’s ability to produce intelligent, fun, and genre-defying electronic music, he just released his new album ‘Green For Go’ on 27th January. There will be a video accompanying the lead single, ‘Your Birthday’.

‘Green For Go’ is themed around creative freedom. As a tribute to those who have come before, it draws inspiration from artists like M.I.A, Travis Scott, and the Swedish House Mafia. Furthermore, showcasing the artistry of South-Asian musicians.

From deep grooves on ‘Your Birthday’ and ‘Pizza’ to hip-hop beats on ‘Cappuccino’ and ‘Here We Go Again’ (which is my favourite), this album is bold, fresh, and brilliantly unpredictable.

If you want to check out some of his other tracks, visit his YouTube or follow Vidorra on Spotify.

6) XIVRA – L.A.L.I.M.U.

Producer and songwriter Xivra is based in Basel, Switzerland. Having started playing piano and organ at the age of 12, he later developed a passion for music production and songwriter. As a producer, Xivra has a unique take on house production and a way of writing intriguing vocal hooks that will make him a rising star.

The latest single from Xivra is L.A.L.I.M.U., a deep house track influenced by big dance tracks from the 80s. Punchy synth bass, simple vocal arrangements, and big hook melodies draw you into this song.

The track is just incredibly well produced, I am impressed by the way it manages to combine elements of pop with those of classic house music in a way that feels fresh yet familiar at the same time.

If you’re looking for something more upbeat, he’s got plenty of other tracks on Spotify that are perfect for dancing or working out as well—everything from pop to dance/EDM.

If you want to check out more of Xivra’s work, visit his website and follow him on Spotify!
